Nesting Logs
Our nesting logs are made from the stalks of the Agava sisalana plant. Native to central America, it is an intruder plant here in SA. The stalks of the plants that have died are used to make shelters for birds. They primarily attract birds such as the Woodpecker and Barbet, who will excavate a cavity for themselves in the log. Abandoned logs will attract the following birds; Cape Glossy Starling, Green hoopoes, Grey Hornbills and Sparrows. We do custom orders on request. Contact us directly for bulk orders.
